James P. Boyd, DDS (Consulting Physician)

JamesPBoyd.jpgDr. Boyd graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1985.

Having suffered from frequent migraines and a chronic TMJ condition beginning in 1977, Dr. Boyd set out to identify the disease process which might "overlap" between the two conditions. 

In 2001, Dr. Boyd received an FDA approval for the Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition Tension Suppress System (NTI-tss), for the prevention of medically diagnosed migraine pain and temporomandibular disorders.

Dr. Boyd is the past Director of Research and Senior Clinical Instructor at the White Memorial Medical Center Craniofacial/TMD clinic in Los Angeles. 

He joined The Headache Center in 2005 as a practicing clinical consultant and works with Dr. Blumenfeld in the research of trigeminally mediated disorders.
